June 17-20 seven area teens attended 1996 State 4-H Congress at Virginia Tech.
Those in attendance from Rappahannock were Anya Gaskins, Robyn Kaye, Julie Payne, Matthew Payne, Ashley Pollecelli, Naomi Smoot, and Mary Beth Williams.
Anya and Matthew participated in “Share The Fun,” a talent competition.
Other classes which the group participated in included “Jobs , Careers, and Economics,” “Environmental Education,” and “Leadership.”
“I learned a lot about problems of other areas and met lots of new people,” one delegate said.
