According to Mr. Reisier, “The idea for this workshop came when Charles John and I were teaching for the Songwriters Association in Washington, DC. I started to talk about writing melodies and the people there said that they had been to dozens of workshops and np one had ever spoken about how to write melodies before. Melody is the essence of music and 1 realized that melody training is missing from most of the contemporary song writing workshops.”

The workshop will explore the magical interaction of words and music, how they fit together, how they inspire one another and how. they work to create the powerful experience of a great song. There will be an equal emphasis on writing music and creating lyrics with sessions in melody, harmonic structure/chord changes, music theory, creativity, lyric mastery, unified music and words and much more.

On Saturday evening there will be an informal concert featuring Paul Reisier and Charles John Quarto as well as some special guests.

The workshop is sponsored by the Songwriters Association of Washington, DC. The fee for the weekend is $95. To register for this unique song writing weekend call 987-3164.
