He said the school will have to make changes in the program in order to attract enough women to make the changes in the physical plant economically feasible.
“This goes beyond VMI,” he said. “There are academies for all boys in inner cities that have put some boys on a track that changes their lives. Different methods work with different people. Depending on how you read this decision, you could argue that tuition assistance grants to all female colleges are in jeopardy.”
He said as a country attorney he did not think it likely that he would ever be involved in a case that reached the U.S. Supreme Court, one that is a major case in Constitutional Law. “1 certainly didn’t think 1 would be involved as a defendant,” he said.
