On Term Day Monday, Judge Carleton Penn probably surprised some people by sending them to jail
John F. Wright, 44, of Flint Hill, was sent to jail because he was delinquent in paying over $2,000 in child support. He was also ordered to pay an additional $1,100 for his ex-wife’s attorney’s fees. Judge Penn told Mr. Wright he would not be released from jail until the full amount is paid.
Tina Sue Lucas, 26, of Luray, was delinquent in paying fines and court costs of $277. She pleaded to have more time to pay, but Judge Penn sent
