C-M-R Farm Show Family Picnic
There will be a family picnic at the C-M-R Farm Show on Saturday, July 26 beginning at 5 p.m. at the Culpeper Agricultural Enterprises. The picnic is an “all you can eat chicken BBQ,” and there will be advance tickets for sale at the Extension Office. The cost for tickets is $6 for adults, $3 for youth, and under 6 free. Come by the office and buy your tickets now! This will benefit 4-H youth in Culpeper, Madison, and Rappahannock.
Dwyer Reunion Planned
The sixth annual Dwyer family reunion will be held beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 20 at the fire hall in Washington. All are welcom.e.
Aileen Reunion Planned
The annual Aileen reunion for former employees and their families will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, July 20 at the Rappahannock Park. Bring-a cohered dish and a drink. For additional information call Joyce at 987-8091.
Tennis Lessons and Groups
Over the years in Rappahannock there has been a growing interest in tennis and to help coordinate instruction opportunities as well as possibly create playing groups and an occasional tournament or round-robin event, Hunt Harris asks for community members to call him at 675-1879 or 987-9061. Hunt will be offering instruction beginning in June.
Support Group To Meet
Hospice of the Rapidan" and Family Care Home Health and Hospice offer a free bereavement support group for anyone who has lost a loved one prior to April 1996. The group will meet 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. each Wednesday, July 17 through Aug. 21 at 1200 Sunset Lane, Suite 2320 of the Mulberry Commons office park in Culpeper. To reserve space call 829-5764 by July 10.
