F.V.F.D. Carnival Planned
The Flint Hill Volunteer Fire and Rescue Carnival is being held July 24, 25, 26 and 27 at the Flint Hill Fire Grounds. The parade will be on Friday, July 26. This year’s grand prize will be a 1996 Cheverolet S-10 pickup. Tickets are available from affy member or several local merchants.
The fire department is also seeking queen contestants. Anyone interested or wishing additional information should contact Connie HuffHarris at 675-3389.
Basketball Camp Scheduled
’ Basketball Camp will be held at Highland in Warrenton July 29-Aug. 2 and Aug. 5-9 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., daily. The cost is $75 per camper. The director is Coach Gary Leake, a former basketball coach at Osbourn Park High School, Rappahannock County High School and Wakefield School. Camp features included shooting competitions, team tournament competitions, individual skill instruction, free camp t-shirt and awards ceremony. For more information call 347-1221.
