To the Editor:
The prizes donated to the Washington Volunteer Fire Department on the 4th of July were two steers won by Fawn Everson which were donated by Mike Massie, two hundred Fifty dollars won by Walt Longyear, which was donated by B&B Service Center, owners Mike and Judy Brown, dinner for two at The Inn won by Diane Welty, donated by the Inn at Little Washington, and Doris Summers fifty dollar gift certificate donated by Rare Finds, owners Col. and Mrs. James Willis.
Miss Independence was won by Miss Julie Payne. Julie received a $100 savings bond donated by the Rappahannock National Bank. Second place runner-up was Miss Naomi Smoot who received a $50 saving bond donated by the Rappahannock National Bank. Miss Jamie Deal was awarded Miss 4th of July. Jamie received a $100 saving bond donated by the Rappahannock National Bank. Adorations Florist and Gift Shoppe of Warrenton donated the Bowers and sashes to the winners.
The raffle tickets were sponsored by Rare Finds, Russell Lee, Eileen Day Realtors, Mountainside Market, The Middleton Inn and Jack Jenkins, general contractor.
A special thank you to all who helped and donated gifts to make this a wonderful 4th of July Raffle.
