The sanctity of our nationality itself is affected, too. Loving America as we do, we are less a good American if we fail to love other Americans as much as we do the very' land in which we live. Principles which we espouse are essential, but living them — whatever our station — is the challenge.

Only by living our ideals will our republic remain the object of students’ dreams, and not the target of cowards’ wrath.
