Del. Jay Katzen, Jackson District Supervisor Ron Frazier, his daughter Kristin, Forrest Wharton, Gary Whorton, Marty Whorton, Jonathan Whorton, Aaron Whorton and Greg Freeman set out Friday on a two-day 40-mile horseback ride retracing some of the routes of John Singleton Mosby, The Grey Ghost, and his rangers during the Civil War in Rappahannock, Warren and Fauquier counties.
Backup riders were Ronnie Frazier, Zane Whorton, Teresa Whorton and Cathy Frazier.
Starting from Hackley’s Store, they followed U.S. 211 to the Ben Venue Market for their first stop. Mr. Frazier noted that Col.
