Farm Show Scheduled
The Culpeper-Madison-Rappahannock Farm Show will be held July 24-29. This is the local three-county fair for youth and adults. 4-H and FFA members conducting a livestock project for 1995-96 can enter the livestock shows. All youth and adults can enter the other departments: art, pets, home economics, gardening, flowers, photography, cloverbuds, etc. Catalogs and registration forms are available at the Extension Office. Registration for entries is due to the Extension Office by July 1.
Walk-in Clinic Day Set
The Rappahannock County Health Walk-In Clinics day in July is for immunization only from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. ori July 15.
Fall Soccer Registration
Rappahannock Soccer League (RSL) is now registering all children bom on and between Aug. 1, 1982 and Aug. 1, 1992 for the Fall 96 season. Practice is scheduled to begin the week of Aug. ,26.
Registration forms can be picked up at the Boston Store, Laurel Mills Store, Hackley’s, Mountainside Market, Cabin Fever Books, and Settle’s Store. In order to register, you need to mail a completed form and $25 application fee for each soccer participant to Lorinda Bosch, P.O. Box 228, Washington, Va. 22747. Call Lorinda at 636-3580 with registration questions.
Camp Activities Planned
Camp Fertile will be held July 18 and 25, and there will be tennis, lessons with Hunt Harris. Pre-registration is recommednded. For more information ortb register call Anjee 675-3171 or Kitty 987-9661.
Support Group Social Set
The Blue Ridge Head Injury Support Group will meet from 2-4 p.m. \ Saturday, July 13 at the home of Barbara and Larry Holloway, in Midland. All survivors, family, and friends are welcome for this cookout/swim party meeting. For directions, information, transportation or support call Pat Salmon at 675-3137.
Red Cross Chapter Annual Meeting
The annual meeting of the Fauquier Chapter of the Red Cross, which includes Rappahannock will be held at St. James Episcopal church in Warrenton at 3 p.m. on Sunday, July 14. The meeting, which is open to the public, will feature an awards ceremony and election of new Red Cross Board members. Refreshments will be served.
