Mrs. Rappahannock County, Kimberley Shafran, placed as first runner-up in the Mrs. Virginia International Pageant. She also won the aerobic wear competition.
The pageant was held over three days in Roanoke (May 30, 31 and June 1). Fifty women competed in interviews, on-stage questions, aerobic wear and evening gown.
The Mrs. Virginia pageant system stresses commitment to marriage and traditional family value. Mrs. Shafran, 38. lives in Viewtown with her husband Tom and two sons, Alex, 7 and Brian, 3.
