A recent market search identified 480 businesses, offices, churches, and associations here in Rappahannock County.
Additionally, it is estimated that the county has over 80 full time agricultural enterprises.
As a result, a “blind survey” was conducted of three percent of the households in the county. Two very important facts were identified:
1. To the question, would you buy here in the county if you knew the business was available. All answered that they would.
2. To the question, what business or service does Rappahannock need, all but 10 stated businesses that are already in existence here in the county, but they did not know they were here.
