for conditioning foxhunters, schooling green horses, a relaxed family hack, or an additional opportunity for equestrian clubs and hunts to ride together, while supporting a charitable cause. All riders must wear an equestrian hard hat while mounted, and all horses must have proof of negative Coggins with them that day.
The ride-a-thon is open to English and Western riders of all ages (riders under 14 must be accompanied by a supervising adult). No horses are supplied by event organizers. The courses are fun, noncompetitive, nonjumping trails.
A special course for students of the Virginia Regional Therapeutic Riding Center will begin at 11 a.m.
