and continue until noon at the Rodeo Arena. Everyone is invited to watch this special demonstration by the therapeutic riding students to learn more about the benefits of therapeutic riding.
The Hike-A-Thon course is the same as the 3-mile riding trail. Hikers will depart at 10:30 a.m. and may complete the course at their own leisurely pace. Families, businesses, hiking or health clubs. Scout troops, civic clubs and organizations and other groups are encouraged to participate in this nonmounted event.
The pre-entry fee is $25 if postmarked by Aug. 4. An event discount package is available for only $45 which include entry fee, lunch, and the traditional 1997 Ride/Hike-A-Thon TShirt; Post-entries received after Aug. 4 are $35. The event package is $70.
The catered luncheon will be served from 11:30 a.m. through 1 p.m. and is open to the public. However to guarantee seating, reservations should be made in advance by calling VRTRC, 253-5643; the cost for the luncheon is
