Fair Planned

Plenty of family entertainment will be on tap at the sixth annual Piedmont Family Fair, sponsored by the Piedmont Environmental Council in conjunction with the Bluemont Concert Series and Airlie Conference Center, on Friday, July 4 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m, at Airlie in Warrenton.

Listen to New Orleans jazz and rock music by the Dixie Power Trio, bluegrass by the Dry Branch Fire squad and old time country by the Shenandoah Travelers under the Airlie Pavilion. Nature walks, a vintage car show, draft horses, a Civil War encampment, beagle demonstrations, hay rides, a butterfly garden tour as well as a farmers’ market, antiques, crafters, hand spinning, sheep dog demonstrations and llamas also will' be featured throughout the day.

Buy a chance to win a night’s stay at either The Red Fox Inn & Tavern, The Ashby Inn or Oakland Green Farm Bed & Breakfast for $5 per ticket or 10 for $45. The raffle will be drawn at 3 p.m. on July 4 under the Airlie Pavilion. Delicious food by a variety of Vendors will be available throughout the day. Admission is $10 per carload.
