The firm of Robinson, Farmer, Cox Associates, Certified Public Accountants, conducted an indepth financial audit of the town’s financial records. They found last year’s accounting practices to be essentially sound.
The August 27 report covered the fiscal period ending June 30 of this year. It recommended establishing certain expense line items within accounts. The auditors suggested that water funds and town funds be separated in order to “help show the real income or loss of the water fund.”
The next planning commission meeting will be held Oct. 27. Councilman Steve Critzer chairs the planning commission, not the ARB as reported in last month’s town council article. ARB chairman is Ed Barton.
County Health Department team members will continue to try to contact property owners and residents regarding the sanitation survey.
