Clifton Dodson

Retired carpenter

Clifton Edward Dodson, 73, of Front Royal, died Thursday, Oct. 9 in the Warren Memorial Hospital at Front Royal.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday, Oct. 11 at the Maddox Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Young officiating.

Interment followed in the Panorama Memorial Gardens at Waterlick.

Mr. Dodson was bom June 12, 1924 in Rappahannock County, son of the late Ellis C. and Nellie Atkins Dodson.

He was a retired carpenter foreman for Wilkes Construction in Rockville, Md. He was a member of the V.F.W. post 1860 and was also a member of the Giles B. Cook post 53 of the American Legion.

Surviving are his wife Lois Jenkins Dodson; one son George E. Dodson of Front Royal; four daughters Pearl Knight of Bentonville, Ruth Ann Henry, Eleanor Airhart and Cornelia Mahoney, all of Front Royal; two sisters Lucy Catlett of Front Royal and Jeanette Jenkins of Stephens
