On Thursday, the Rappahannock Junior Varsity Girls Basketball Team defeated Manassas Park 30 to 20 at home. This was Rappahannock’s first district game. Their record stands at 1-0. The game started with both teams trading baskets, but at half time Rappahannock was up 21-14.
In the second half Rappahannock played very conservatively, keeping the lead. The girls were very patient. They have been known to “push the ball down the court,” causing a lot of turnovers. Berkeley Hobson did a good job of running the offense while Candy Dennis did a great job on the defensive end.
