Virginia Adelaide Dodson, 63, of Sperryville, died Tuesday, Oct. 7 at Loudoun Hospital Center in Leesburg.
Mrs. Dodson was born June 12, 1934 in Madison to the late Ira H. Brown and Gertie Nicholson Brown.
Mrs. Dodson is survived by her husband Charles William Dodson and two daughters Christine V. Timbers of Etlan and Darlene Updike of Sperryville.
She is also survived by six sisters Lorraine Tompkins of Tuscon, Ariz., Frances Lengel of Indianhead, Md., Teresa A. Brown of Culpeper, Marie Seale of Gordonsville, Hattie Broyles and Irene Nicholson, both of Madison; one brother Forytiss Brown of Syria and six grandchildren Justin Corbin, Shelly Timbers, David Updike, Ernest Updike, Benjamin Clark and Kelly Knight.
She was preceded in death by one son Charles E. Dodson; two brothers Charles Brown and Aubry Brown and one sister Betty Wharton.
Funeral services were held Friday, Oct. 10 at Found and Sons Chapel with the Rev. Daniel Courtney officiating.
Interment followed in Fairview Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Kenneth Marlor, Matthew Marlor, Hans Gerhard, Danny Fincham, Frank D. Brown and Bobby Timbers.
Found and Sons Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
