cranberries, brown sugar, and orange peel; bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, until mixture is very thick, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat; cool.

On lightly floured board, roll chilled dough with rolling pin into a rectangle about 12x8 inches (if having difficulty stretching dough to shape, let dough rest in between rollings). Carefully lift dough .ort to’buttered 15x12 inch baking sheet. Spoon filling mixture lengthwise down center third of dough. With kitchen shears, make two inch long cuts at one inch intervals on both of the 12-inch sides. Starting at one end, fold strips diagonally over filling, overlapping strips to give a braided look. Spoon Orange Streusel Topping down center of loaf. Cover and let rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes. Bake at 350 F for 25 to 30 minutes, until golden brown. Remove to large wire rack. To make glaze, combine confectioners’ sugar and orange juice; drizzle over warm but not hot bread. Makes one 14x5 inch loaf. J
