"STRADDLE LOTS"

TOWN OF WASHINGTON -

COUNTY OF RAPPAHANNOCK

All those persons owning properties of four (4) acres or less, at least half of which lies within the Town of Washington and the balance in the County of Rappahannock, and which were in existence as of October 1, 1984, are hereby notified that the Town Council of Washington and the Board of Supervisors of Rappahannock County have resolved and agreed upon a process whereby qualifying property owner? may apply for inclusion of the whole of their properties to be located wholly within the boundaries of either the Town of Washington or the County of Rappahannock.

In order to qualify, each applicant must, within twelve months of application, provide a valid survey of the property showing a number of items generally as specified in a resolution adopted by the Board of Supervisors on December 22, 1989, for a previous TownCounty Boundary Adjustment plan.

Persons desiring to apply for this program are invited to contact John W. McCarthy, Zoning Administrator for the Town of Washington & the County of Rappahannock, at (540) 675-3342, during normal business hours.

Applications for inclusion in the program must be received at the County Administration Office, PO Box 361, 290 Gay Street, Washington, VA 22747, not later than January 15, 1999.
