Mary E. Brown

Warrenton resident

Mary Elizabeth Brown, 83, of Warrenton died on Friday, Dec. 25 at Warrenton Overlook Care Center.

She was born on Feb. 17, 1915 in Virginia.

Her husband was the late William Clinton Brown.

Survivors include one daughter Joyce A. Brown of Warrenton; one brother Lewis Butler of Viewtown; two sisters Willie Fitzhugh of Warrenton and Maggie Lovett of Culpeper; one granddaughter and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Dec. 30 at Moser Funeral Home in Warrenton with the Rev. Kenneth Nichols and Rev. Richard A. Mann officiating.

Interment was in Culpeper National Cemetery.

Paul Lewis

Born at Nethers Mills

Paul Lewis, 73, of Culpeper died Friday, Dec. 25.

He was born Nov. 9, 1925 at Nethers Mills, a son of the late John and Mamie Smith Lewis.

Mr. Lewis was a member of the First Century Baptist Church and was actively involved with the Rappahannock-Rapidan Community Services Center in Culpeper.

He is survived by his wife Claudette Marie Breeden Lewis; one daughter Mary Lorraine Jenkins and a son Paul Lee Lewis, all of Culpeper.

Additional survivors include his twin brother Pete Lewis of Virginia Beach and another brother John Lewis; two sisters Cassie Weakley of Orange and Mary Helmle of Brunsville, N.C.; four grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a sister Lula Snow.
