I Letters of endorsement need to be

sent to support the project

The Sperryville Gateway Proposal is just that-a

proposal. What is needed for the Department of

Transportation to accept it are letters of endorsement from individuals, groups and businesses. Letters need to be strongly worded and specific and addressed to Robert Cassada, Virginia Department of Transportation. In order for them to be correctly identified, the committee asks that letters be sent to Barb Williams at P.O. Box 435, Sperryville, Va. 22740.

Other villages in the county have made attempts at planning for the future and failed, so the Sperryville Gateway Committee is to be complimented for its tenacity and talent. Let it be a beacon for other community groups to recognize the process and become aware of the pitfalls. If the grant is accepted, nothing will be more convincing to others than seeing the improvements to Sperryville put in place.
