Haywood Dodson

Haywood Franklin Dodson, 71, of Culpeper died Wednesday, Dec. 30 at Culpeper Memorial Hospital.
He was born Sept. 24, 1927 in Rappahannock Cqunty, a son of the late Elwood Franklin and Nellie Elizabeth Dodson.
Mr. Dodson was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of the Hazel River Assembly of God Church.
He is survived by a daughter Joyce Lillard of Sperryville and two grandchildren Walter Richard Lillard Jr. of Flint Hill and Sherry Lynn Lillard of Sperryville.
Additional survivors include one sister Margaret Jenkins of Radcliff, Ky. and four brothers MacArthur Dodson of Gordonsville, Steven Douglas Dodson Sr. of Boston, John Turner Dodson Sr. of Culpeper and Jacob Dodson of Reva.
He was predeceased by his wife Mary Catherine Dodson.
Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 4 at Hazel River Assembly of God Church with Rev. Steve Dodson officiating.
Interment followed at Culpeper National Cemetery.
