MichaeT T. Leake
His father is James Leake, a real estate agent in Sperryville, and his mother is Mildred Atkins, now married to Tommy Atkins.
Gary Leake, Mike’s brother, was a popular sports coach at Rappahannock High School before he moved out of the county.
Mike Leake grew up in Sperryville, graduated from RCHS in ‘83 and from Longwood College in Farmville, Virginia, in ‘87. He has a B.S. in business management and finance.
He is married to Pamela, who is from Princeton, New Jersey, but who “absolutely loves” Rappahannock.
Two years ago, Mr. and Mrs. Leake built their yellowcolored residence on U.S. 211 near Amissville, just east of the road leading to the landfill.
“I always wanted to come home and be in tljis area,” says Mr. Leake. “I don’t know why anyone would want to live anywhere else.”
