Parent conferences will be held on Thursday, Jan. 28 from 3 to 5 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. for Rappahannock County Schools. Schools will release at 2 p.m. Setting aside a few minutes to speak with your child’s teachers will be time spent wisely. You may think you know their weaknesses, but do you know their strengths? Use this opportunity to learn positive things about your child. I remember reading once where a teacher said little Bobby was the worst kid in class, but he never missed a day of school. That’s a positive!
Jan. 26 is the end of the first semester for Culpeper County Schools. The Middle and High schools will release at 1:30 p.m. the last four days of the semester. Early dismissal does not include the elementary schools. There will be no school on Jan. 27 due to a professional work day for Culpeper County School personnel.
Rappahannock County Schools will use Jan. 29 as an in-service day. School will be closed. Remember to keep on top of changes that may be needed due to inclement weather school closings.
