The Amissville Post Office was sold out of one cent stamps on Saturday due to folks purchasing blocks of 100 or more stamps. Our Postmaster said she- was shocked at the rush to buy such large quantities when normally patrons would request five to six - one cent stamps.
Dog owners in Rappahannock County have until Jan. 31 to renew their dog licenses for the new year through the Rappahannock Treasurer’s Office. The office is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. For further information call 675-3334.
The Project Coordinators of the Amissville Community Christmas Basket Project extends a special thanks to eveprone who contributed or assisted in preparing and delivering fruit baskets and poinsettias to 79 homes or nursing homes making 1998 their most successful year.
