To those who need more introduction, 1 otter this: I have done journalism work for 25 years, including stints at a wire service and three daily newspapers, as both reporter and editor.
I am married to an environmental lawyer employed by the U.S. Department of Justice. We live in the Laurel Mills area, southwest of Amissville.
We have a 19-year-old daughter who attends St. Olaf, a Lutheran college in Minnesota. We also have a 10-year-old son and 7-year-old daughter, who are homeschoolers this year. My mother, a retired teacher, plays a big, much-appreciated role in their lives.
I am a member of no political party. I always vote for the individuals I most respect. This has resulted in votes for Democrats, Republicans and Independents.
I was raised Baptist, but I now attend a Quaker church in Winchester.
I believe that all of us have more in common with each other that we usually realize, and I try to find that core. Surely all of us have known the power of love, kindness, apology and forgiveness.
I hope you will see these qualities reflected in this writer’s articles.
Now there’s a title I like: Writer.
