early last Wednesday morning after a cross-arm broke on a 34,000 volt transmission line between the ; town and Potomac Edison’s Sperryville substation. Potomac Edison said the line failure occurred about 2 a.m., Jan. 4 during a severe windstorm. When the cross-arm broke it caused two high-voltage lines to touch, which caused a short and loss of power. “The Library Board doesn’t have the authority to convey property without the prior approval of the Board of Supervisors after a public hearing.”
