The Woodville Home Demonstration Club met at the home of Mrs. Amos Butler on Jan. 7. The program on “Understanding Advertising and Packaging” was presented by our county home extension agent, Miss Judy Burtner.

The first snow this year, though not the first of the season, fell in Rappahannock Tuesday lightly coating everything with ice and snow. The precipitation, however, was not enough to hinder the operation of schools. The stream banks were festooned Wednesday morning with a snow and ice glaze. Mrs. Llewellyn Allison, Extension Agent Economics meets with Mrs. Mary Priest of Amissville who has recently been named County Chairman for the Homemakers Council in Rappahannock, and turns over the leadership manuel for operations. The county council coordinates the programs for each of the individual clubs in the area. Mrs. Elmo D. Flynt entertained the Washington Bridge Club Thursday evening at her home. Guests were Mrs. LJ. Turner, Mrs. W.H. Massie Jr., Mrs. B.M. Miller, Mrs. G.H. Davis Jr., Mrs. W.F. Moffett Jr., Mrs. H.L. Smith, Mrs. E.M. Jones and Mrs. H.M. Keyser. Prizes were won by Mrs. Keyser,
