Kudos to our VDOT workers who were out clearing the roads when the snow began falling Friday morning. With four to five inches of snow in tjhe area, they were kept busy. I If was a good call by our school systems to close schools dn Friday even though the snow had not accumulated enough to make traveling hazardous before they were scheduled to open. The predicted snow conditions were taken seriously and the safety of our children was the main priority. ,
Our thoughts and prayers are extended to the family and friends of Skip Williams who passed away due to an early morning car accident on Friday, Jan. 8. Skip, 43, was the owner and pharmacist of Forestwood Pharmacy in Manassas. • Amissville Baptist Church will begin “The Weigh Down Workshop” with an orientation on Jan. 19 at 7 p.m. at the church. The workshop is a 12 week seminar that teaches people to transfer a love relationship with food to a love relationship with God.
