the plan. Herd’s inclusions added significantly to the plan’s clarity, depth and length.

The commission has met since September 1998 to review word-by-word, discuss and revise the plan written in 1992 and when they finished, they repeated the process with Milton Herd’s recent report.

They will meet again for their regularly monthly meeting at 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 25 and proposed to address the plan’s remaining 10 pages.

Willis, one of the writers of the 1992 plan, said after the meeting: “I came because I’m interested in what’s going on over time. I have a romantic notion that the series of comprehensive plans will record the history of the town.”
