Come meet the sheriff
Rappahannock residents are invited to help unite the county and come meet the new sheriff and his department on Sunday, Feb. 7 beginning at 3 p.m. at the Washington Fire Department. Sheriff Larry Sherertz wants to hear from you. He invites residents to bring their questions and concerns to the meeting.

The Rappahannock Band Booster meeting will be held Jan. 21 at 7:30 p.m. at Rappahannock High School auditorium. Everyone is welcome.
Lord Fairfax to sponsor class
Lord Fairfax Community College will sponsor a class entitled “Introduction to Mathematics” (course # MTH120) at the Rappahannock High School beginning on Tuesday, Jan. 19 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuition for the class is $142.95 ($47.65 per credit) plus textbooks. King program scheduled
Julie E. Boddie Scholarship Committee will present “Fulfilling the Dream” by remembering the words of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on Sunday, Jan. 17 at 4 p.m. at The Theatre in Washington.
Topics will include Faith and Religion by Pastor Wendell Grant; Community and Man by Mrs. Gail Blaker; I Havfe A Dream by Robert Glasker; Peace by Mrs. Lillian Aylor and music by The Voices of Inspiration in Flint Hill and Trumpettees in Marshall. A free will offering will be taken and refreshments will be served.
