BY BOB SCOTT Rappahannock News Contributing Writer The Rappahannock Lions Club presented the annual Bland Music Competition at The Theatre at Washington on Sunday, Feb. 28. It was the most successful competition in recent memory. The most performers 21, the most individual selections, 22; the largest audience, near capacity in The Theatre and actually, the best over all talent representing our county. The Regional Bland Music Scholarship Competition (next level) will be held Saturday, March 20 at 10 a.m. at Warrenton Middle School auditorium on Waterloo Road. Rappahannock County will be represented by first place winners: • Nicole Marie Espinola, age 9, grade 3 playing the piano, and • Samantha Breedan, age 17, grade 12, soprano.
