A Hundred 1 housand Welcomes” is the translation of the Gaelic phrase “Cead Mile Failte” and the title of a program of Celtic music and dance to be held at The Theatre at Washington on Saturday, March 13 at 8 p.m., in anticipation of St. Patrick’s Day.
The group MoonFire plays traditional instruments - fiddle, hammered dulcimer, flute, whistle and guitar. MoonFire will bring its musical talents to the Theatre, along with two young step dancers, to provide an evening of rousing reels, graceful airs and lively dancing.
Formed in 1996, MoonFire (Elise Kress, Jody Marshall, Cathy Palmer) perform what one reviewer has called “power chamber-folk music.” They will be joined by harpist Ellen James.
