With support from private citizens like Barney O’Meara and Buck Payne, and local officials like John McCarthy, Peter Luke and Sheriff Larry Sherertz, John Kiser and Hunt Harris know that the job can be done, and the process can be institutionalized.
This year, support from organizations including the Rappahannock County Lions Club is evidence of such institutionalization. Lions Club president Hal McDermott and member Jeff Light are involved and positive.
