Membership dinner, meeting set
Rappahannock Farmers Association will hold their annual meeting and membership dinner on March 6 at 6 p.m. at the Flint Hill fire hall. Membership may be obtained the night of the dinner for only $35. There will be a brief business meeting followed by a guest speaker, Chris Miller from Piedmont Environmental Council. Girl Scouts to sell cookies
Troop 2021 will be selling Girl Scout cookies on Saturday, March 6 at the Flint Hill Post Office from 8:30 until 11:30 a.m.
Open house at Wakefield
Wakefield Country Day School at Huntly is holding an open house on Sunday, March 14 from 1 to 3 p.m. Wakefield is a non-sectarian, pre-kindergarten through 12th grade, college preparatory day school. This is a good opportunity to tour the school, meet students, faculty and parents. For more information contact Mrs. Connie Lalonde at 635-8555.
Dance at Amissville
A dance sponsored by the Amissville Volunteer Fire and Rescue Company will be held March 20 at the fire hall. Music will be by Cool Water Express. Proper dress is required, no holes in jeans and shirts must have collars.
April Kite Fly slated
The annual Ben Venue Kite Fly has been scheduled for April 17. Volunteers are needed and any interested organizations wishing to set up or participate should contact Heidi Eastham at 675-3444.
Hatha Yoga classes underway
Hatha Yoga classes are currently underway at Moose Hill Farms near Slate Mills, in two six-week sessions. Beginners and experienced students are welcome. Morning sessions will be held Mondays from 9 to 10:30 a.m., and evening sessions on Wednesdays from 5 to 6:30 p.m.
Classes combine stretching, breathing and relaxation exercises to tone the nerves, muscles, glands, ligaments and joints. The results include reduced stress and increased flexibility and strength, simultaneously calming and energizing the mind and body.
