James W. “Bill” Fletcher III was honored by the Rappahannock Historical Society on Sunday afternoon for his vital role in bringing the county’s striking new historical map to life.
Mr. Fletcher received print #1 of the limited edir ti°n map signed by map maker Eugene Scheel.
Mr. Scheel, a noted historian as well as map maker, presented the map to Mr. Fletcher before a small group of appreciative Historical Society officers and members, after opening remarks by the Society’s president, Douglas Baumgardner.
