Activities at Ragged Mountain

Saturday, March 13 “Second Saturday Series” of hikes to the headwaters of Rappahannock River watershed tributaries in the Shenandoah National Park. Meet at Mountainside Market on U.S. 211 between 8:30-9 a.m. and bring layered clothing according to the weather of the day and food for self. Back mid-afternoon. Destination: Hazel River area, including bluffs and “cave” by waterfall.

Saturday, March 20 Rappahannock/Hazel River Watershed Network...Plans for Watershed Tour (s), Water Monitoring and Stream bank Restoration Efforts...Plans for “Water Month” in May in the county, including National River Clean -up week and Water Music Festival. Meet at Extension Office in Washington, 10 a.m.to noon.
Cloverbud camp scheduled
There will be a 4-H Winter Cloverbud camp March 2728 at the Northern Virginia Educational Center in Front Royal.
