Mrs. Ethel Tyner formerly of Sara Lane, Sperryville, now of Palmyra, Va. attained her 104th birthday on June 17.
On Thursday her pastor, Elder David Roberts and friends, Sally Keyser and Wayne Baldwin visited with her. She is in a much weakened state than a few months earlier. Now spending more time in bed, and tiring quickly, so that visits with her are short. She has developed some breathing difficulties and is not able at this time to intake solid foods.
Her mind, however, is still keen enough to recognize with whom she is surrounded. Her vision is failing to the point that glasses do not seem to help, and her hearing is nearly gone, but with putting your mouth close to her “good” ear you can make her understand if you speak slowly and distinctly. She still has within her heart that sweet and abiding hope in her Lord and Savior.
She requested from her pastor that he read from her favorite scriptures and pray for her. It might be added that the
