Rappahannock News Staff Photo/Carl Eborn Sheriff Larry Sherertz said that Child Safety Seat Day “was a huge success.” During the day, 24 vehicles and 25 seats were checked (one car had a child safety seat and a booster seat). All of the seats inspected were installed incorrectly. Fourteen seats were taken due to recalls for various reasons (age, safety problems, etc.), and those people received new child seats, either free or sold at wholesale, from the Sheriff’s Office.
