Hometown: Washington Occupation: Social Worker with Rappahannock Department of Social Services Accomplishments: Since graduation from Virginia Tech, Ms. Flournoy has worked with the Department of Social Services for 15 years, 11 years with Fauquier and the last four years with Rappahannock. She works closely with the Lions Club in order to obtain eye exams and hearing exams for the elderly in the county. She also works with the Rappahannock Rapidan Community Service agency's volunteer program in order to obtain volunteers for transportation services and/or being a friendly visitor for the elderly in the county. Ms. Flournoy volunteers a lot of her time to the Rappahannock Elementary School as she has two children that attend the school. Most recently, she helped organize the children's used book sale on DARE Day and organized the student art show on the Fourth of July. Ms. Flournoy is very dedicated to volunteering her time to the school. Ms. Flournoy also is an avid auction goer. She loves antiques, something she inherited from her mother. Currently she sells antiques at Rush River Antiques in Washington and Fox Den in Warrenton. She also enjoys reading and _ traveling. Recently she has been learning a lot of family history as her father, Jack DeBergh, has thoroughly researched the family tree. Based on his research, Ms. Flournoy is now a member of the D.A.R. (Daughters of the American Revolution) and her children are members of the C.A.R. (Children of the American Revolution). Ms. Flournoy and her husband, Bob, have been married for 11 years and have two children. Their daughter, Morgan, will be in fourth grade this year and their son, Gregory, will be in second grade. Morgan is involved with Girl Scouts, 4-H, softball and basketball. Gregory is involved with Boy Scouts, 4-H and soccer.
