summer upen Mouse slated
Lord Fairfax Community College's Fauquier Campus will host a Summer Open House on Thursday, July 20 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the College campus in Warrenton. The public is invited to attend this informational session, which will feature tours and classroom demonstrations. Take advantage of an opportunity to win a free three-credit course at the open house. Refreshments will be served. Make plans to stop by and see the new campus. Summer camp scheduled
TASC for Teens of Jeffersonton is organizing and leading a two-week Canadian Wilderness Fishing Summer Camp to beautiful Northern Ontario for youth ages 10-17 July 29-Aug. 11. The trip will leave from Jeffersonton and include qualified and caring staff, complete instruction, round-trip transportation, meals, most camping equipment, cabin lodging and motorboat. Gazebo gathering slated
The Friday Gazebo gathering for July 14 will hit the jackpot when it presents the country band "Jackpot". A very versatile band from country classics such as "For The Good Times" to the classic rock of Jimi Hindrix, to original songs that feature both styles, Jackpot will play them all. Page derby set, applications accepted
Applications are being accepted for the demolition derby to be held Friday, Aug. 25 during the Page Valley Fair. Drivers must be 21 years of age. Cars may include any American made stock, hardtop automobile or station wagon. No oversize vehicles or trucks are allowed. Official entry blanks are available at your local auto parts store or by calling 743-4949. Registration is limited to the first 60 applications and yours will be acknowledged by return mail.
Career Resource Center open
The Rappahannock Career Resource Center is now open. It will provide assistance to citizens in searching for job opportunities and in preparing job applications.
The office is located in the basement level of the . Rappahannock County Library. The current hours of operation are Monday 2:30 to 6:30 p.m., Wednesday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Thursday 1 to 5 p.m. The phone is 675-2631.
