Virginia State Police investigators and the Rappahannock County Sheriff s Office are still collecting evidence from Montpelier, the historic 18th century Georgian mansion in Rappahannock County which was vandalized in May.
A state police investigator and Sheriff Larry Sherertz went back to Montpelier on Monday to pick up additional items of evidence, according to the offices of the sheriff and the state police.
This evidence was turned over to the state police forensic lab in Fairfax, where investigators are awaiting results of forensic analysis of earlier evidence submitted.
