With Daisy Duke in town over the weekend there was lots of excitement and hardly a parking space West of the Town of Sperryville. Cooter's place was packed and Daisy was certainly welcomed to Rappahannock with large crowds attending both days.
On Sunday, July 16, there will be a bluegrass band at Cooter's Place. Great country music is featured every Saturday evening by the Cooter's Garage Band. All are invited.
Tiffany Wayland spent Wednesday with Nia and Dimi Genther at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Chip Genther and Chris near Strasburg. The girls are attending a Summer Fun Camp on Wednesdays for the month of July and also ballet classes in preparation for Three Billy Goat Gruffs to be presented in September.
Happy birthday to Linda Baldwin who will celebrate her day on Friday, July 14.
This past weekend Linda and Richie Baldwin s daughter, Katie had an exciting time. She got her ears pierced.
Amber Dodson of Sperryville enjoyed the Britney Spears' concert on July 4 with mother, Lisa and friends, Sheila and Sharon Scott of Amissville.
Amber and her parents, Lisa and Ronnie Dodson also enjoyed a day at Funland at Central Park at Fredericksburg on Friday, July 7.
Ms. Jean Ryals and Bobby Knighton of Troy, Va. were Saturday guests of Mrs. Leanna Wharton on Chestnut Run Lane and in the afternoon, Mrs. Wharton and guests dined at The Country Cafe in Washington.
