With the good rain and early planting, Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Baldwin have been busy making sauerkraut, canning green beans and pickling beets. Do they know more than we do about what kind of winter we will have?
The old time saying was to make sauerkraut on the light of the moon and it will stay white, on the dark of the moon it will turn dark.
Mr. and Mrs. Troy Jenkins and Mr. and Mrs'. David Updike have just returned from a week's vacation at Great Lake, 111. They went to see their son, Mark Jenkins graduate from Boot Camp. Mark enlisted into the Navy on April 16. While there they visited Mrs. Jenkins' brother, John Cassidy and other places of interest.
We congratulate Michelle and John Jenkins and children, they have moved into their new home in Sperryville.
