Gymkhana on July 15
Gymkhana (games on horseback) will be held on Saturday, July 15 to benefit the Old Rag Mountain Pony Club at David Semmes' Indian Run Farm at Huntly. The games will begin at 9 a.m. sharp with an entry fee of $5 per class. Four ribbons will be awarded per class. Food and drink will be available on the grounds. For further information call Sherry at 675-3848. A new class, "Dress Up" will be judged on appearance only.
Dwyer family reunion set
The 10th annual Dwyer family reunion will be held on Saturday, July 15 at the Washington fire hall. Beginning at 10 a.m. running until 5 p.m., all attending are asked to bring a dish and/or drink to share.
Clothes Closet sets date
The First Baptist Church in Washington will present its Clothes Closet on July 29 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be clothes for all: women, men and children at no cost. Donations will be accepted. Anyone with questions or concerns should call Dorothy Butler at 987-8339 or Eunice Lewis at 675-1128. The church is located on Route 628 at the end of Main Street.
Reunion scheduled
Henry Payton and Laura Jenkins will host a reunion on Saturday, July 15 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Rappahannock Park on US 211. Those attending should bring a covered dish to share. For additional information call Roger Rutherford at 987SI 70.
Flatwood Refuse Center open

Physicals scheduled
Sport physicals will be given at Rappahannock Medical Center on Wednesday, July 26 from 2 to 4 p.m. Cost is $10 per person. Forms may be picked up at the Medical Center or from the Rappahannock School Board Office. For additional information or anyone with questions should call 987-8773.
Flint Hill carnival dates set
The Flint Hill firemen's carnival will be held Wednesday, July 26 through Saturday, July 29. Wednesday night is family night and you can ride the rides all night until closing for one low price of $8.
