The first home game for boys’ basketball was played to a packed house as the gym was filled to capacity with Rappahannock County High School fans and alumni. The overflowing crowd was treated to many firsts.
The highlight of the evening was the unveiling of Regional, District, and State Championship banners that alumni teams had won over the years, but had not been recognized.
These banners included four State Championships, six Regional Championships, and twelve District Championships. The Alumni section was asked to stand and the entire student body, as well as the basketball team, walked to the alumni bleacher area and gave them a rousing round of applause.
