The Shenandoah National Park Year 2001 Calendar, featuring the beauty of Shenandoah National Park, is now available. The 12 color photos in this calendar depict the park in all seasons, with scenes of sunrise and sunset, spring mountain laurel and autumn's brilliantly colored leaves, white-tailed deer, waterfalls, snow and ice, and more.
Within the monthly grids, historic dates and tidbits of information are noted, for example, the date in 1936 when President Roosevelt dedicated the park; the date of the death of Annie Shenk, the last remaining life-resident within the park; the date of the first National Park Service employee hired at Shenandoah and many more.
