Volleyball
The girls' Volleyball team opened their season with a home game against the Lady Bulldogs from Luray High School on Thursday, Nov. 30. "The excitement of the home opener and partisan crowd may have worked against us initially," said Coach Stan Brooks, Jr. "but we need to learn how to deal with the excitement and the pressure, because that's part of competitive volleyball." The Rapp girls were overpowering many of their serves and just couldn't find the court on the Luray side of the net. They lost the first game 15-5.
The Lady Panthers played very well in the second game and even enjoyed a seven point lead. Their inability to get their serves in plagued them again and they fell to the Lady Bulldogs 15-12 in the second and final game.
The Junior Varsity Lady Panthers looked good and played well for Coach Zylonis, but they also fell to the JV from Luray two games to zero. After the games, Head Coach Brooks said, "Were inexperienced with lots of young play
